BAYBIO ANNUAL CONFERENCE 2011 | POWERING GLOBAL INNOVATION

The BayBio2011 Annual Conference is expanding into a two-day event and will attract more than 1,000 life science professionals from around the globe. BayBio2011 Annual Conference will feature the following key blocks:

Partnering Forum**
Participation in the Partnering Forum will provide small therapeutic, diagnostic and medical device companies a rare opportunity to meet with the large pharmaceutical companies seeking to add new product candidates and platform technologies to their pipelines, an opportunity to hold technology transfer discussions with the major research institutions, and an opportunity to explore collaboration potential with industry peers.

Company Presentations
A select group of small therapeutic, diagnostic and medical device companies will have the unique opportunity to pitch the investment community. This is a 20-minute opportunity to introduce the company, highlight key technologies, alliances, product and clinical developments. Participation on the Company Presentations Track will be limited to private companies from early stage to series C and small distressed public companies. Companies need to apply for evaluation and selection by the BayBio2011 Company Presentations Advisory Board.

Educational Sessions
Eight tracks and 32 best practices sessions will be offered through the course of two days, attendees from life science companies, research institutions, venture and services communities from Northern California and from around the globe will engage in an international dialogue of industry expertise and best practices.

Gene Acres Track
The BayBio2011 Annual Conference will feature a Gene Acres Track focusing on facilities and operations issues, smart ways to maximize cost containment, practical solutions to increase efficiencies, creative new tools to reduce the company burn rate and expanding those operations overseas.

Several industry keynote speakers will address issues of importance to the life sciences professionals and offer global strategies to expand operations overseas.

BioGENEius Challenge
The sanofi-aventis Southwest Regional BioGENEius Challenge is a competition for high school students who are doing outstanding research in biotechnology in the Southwest. During BayBio2011, four students will compete to qualify for the International BioGENEius Challenge in concurrence with the BIO International Conference.

** Attendees from life sciences companies, investment and academic communities will be provided with automatic complimentary access to the BayBio2011 Partnering Forum software. This powerful online tool will enable pre-registered attendees to research companies and request one-on-one partnering meetings with individuals attending BayBio2011. Attendees from service provider companies will be provided with an opportunity to participate in the Partnering Forum for an additional fee of $1,000 per company.
